(An meine deutschsprachigen Leser: Diese Anmerkungen gelten natürlich genauso für euch. Aber ich denke, ihr könnt mein deutsches Impressum mit der Lizenz lesen.)
From time to time I check the statistics of this Blog, mostly because I am curious who is reading this Blog. Almost everytime I am doing so I notice some strange referrers. And when following them, I find that someone included content (mostly images) from this site directly into his or her own content.
This practice is commonly called "deep linking". I don't want to forbid this, as I think this is part of the spirit that makes the Web and the Blogosphere what it is.
However, there are some rules I'd like you to obey:
- My content is not in the public domain. This is a very important fact, so I mention it first. Anything on this pages is copyright by me, if there is no note stating something else. I reserve all rights.
- No commercial usage of the content without prior written permission. What I mean with this is: If you are using this content on any webpage that is connected with any commercial activity, i.e. if you somehow make money from your webpage, then you have to ask me before you start using it. This does not necessarily mean that I will ask royalties from you. I will decide this on a case to case basis.
- Include an attribution. You are free to use material from this Blog in a non-commercial environment only if you include an attribution line. This is something along the lines of "Author: T. Jerzembeck / Source: Das Blog am Datentrampelpfad" with a link leading back to the original page. You may of course write something else, as long as it is clear that I am the author of the work and that the original source of the work is this Blog.
- I reserve the right to forbid the usage. I trust you that you play by the rules and that you don't use content from this Blog in any setting that I don't like. However, I reserve the rigt to forbid the usage of any content from this Blog even in a non-commercial setting. If I do so, I will inform you and state why. If the matter is not resolved and you continue using the material, I'll take technical measures to hinder you, which might be embarassing to you. So don't risk it.
Basically this boils down to "Play fair and I'll do the same". If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to comment on this post or mail me.
